Heavenly Beings

Exhibition super graphics for Heavenly Beings: Icons of the Christian Orthodox World.

The most ambitious exhibition of icons to be staged in Australasia, Heavenly Beings explores the beauty and power of this ancient visual tradition through more than 100 captivating artworks dating from 1350 to 1800.

A palette of rich jewel tones and metallics were used to reinforce the beauty of the icons on display. The halo on the masthead wall was made of silver chrome vinyl – reflecting and glistening in the light. Copper toned metallic vinyl was used in the exhibition space.

The hero image of George and the Dragon was used up large on walls in the gallery and in at a detail size in room brochure - showing the stunning detail and beauty of the gilded icons.
